SaS- Salad FORK!

Happy Thursday Seekers! It’s time to Share a Spoon Salad Fork with my sissy! I’m most excited about this week’s salad theme! Not necessarily because they’re “healthy,” nope, I just happen to love salads. I’m actually surprised it wasn’t my idea! So thanks Daffy for the most excellent SaS theme!

So incase you haven’t noticed, I love sweets! Dessert is my favorite meal! If it involves chocolate, I’m all about it! So this week I’m going with a “sweet” salad, okay, it’s a fruit salad of sorts, but it’s still sweet! I got this recipe a couple of years ago from a girl I work with. And I’ve been making it ever since!

Grape Salad

4 lbs seedless grapes (2 lbs green/2lbs red)

8 oz sour cream
(you can use the reduced fat kind)

8 oz cream cheese
(you can use the reduced fat kind)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Okay, if you really think that I measure any of that stuff, you’re the nut! HA! I buy a bag of grapes, and call it even! The red grapes are my favorite, and I usually just use those, but for appearances, mixing the red and green grapes make for a prettier salad! Either way is fine, it’s your call!

The cream cheese needs to be at room temperature. I use a hand held mixer to combine the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Now I know there is a similar recipe out there that calls for brown sugar, but let me just tell you, eeewwww, gross! I’ve had it both ways and I promise my way is so much better! I would not lie!

Once your “dressing” is smooth and creamy pour over the grapes and mix. Then top with the chopped nuts. Yes, it’s that easy! What can I say, I’m a simple kind of girl! The easier the better! However, I have ventured outside of my “baking” box here lately. I made a peach cobbler with Brandee’s triple berry cobbler recipe the other day, and it was so so YUMMAY! AND I made zucchini bread! Uh huh uh huh! Yes, I’m becoming quite the little Betty Crocker! HA!

Anyway, this is another one of my sweetheart’s favorites! And it’s definitely a another crowd pleaser! Everyone always loves this salad! What’s not to love? It’s grapes and a sweet dressing! (This dressing also pairs well with other fruits, so feel free to mix it up a bit). I hope you’ll try it out! Happy Eating!

Hillbilly Hump Day (Episode 7- Hillbilly Vasectomy)

Happy Hillbilly Hump Day my Seekers!  I really don't have anything new to report on my hillbilly neighbors.  Things have been pretty quiet.  Other than the fact that they've been without both AC and water for the last two weeks.  Honestly, WTF?  It's been so freaking hot here, no AC + no water = some seriously smelly hillbillies.  Seriously, these are some of the nastiest folks I've ever encountered.

Anyway, in keeping with my Hillbilly Hump Day theme, I thought I would share an email joke my friend sent me.  I laughed!  I hope you'll find the humor in it!  I don't usually forward "junk mail" but I think this is funnay and it's Hillbilly Hump Day!  So why the heck not?!  It's my blog, I can do what I want! Uh huh uh huh!

HILLBILLY VASECTOMY

After their 11th child, a hillbilly couple decided that was enough, they could not afford anymore babybillies.

So the husband went to his veterinarian and told him that he and his cousin billybride didn't want to have any more children.

The doctor told him that there was a procedure called a vasectomy that could fix the problem but that it was expensive.

"However, a less costly alternative" said the doctor, "is to go home, get a cherry bomb, (fireworks are legal in hillbilly country) light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to your ear and count to 10"!

The hillbilly said to the doctor,

"I may not be the smartest billy in the bunch, but I don't see how putting a cherry bomb in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me"?

"Trust me," said the doctor.

So the hillbilly went home, lit a cherry bomb and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count!

(You're gonna love this)!

At which point, he paused, placed the beer can between his legs and continued counting on his other hand.

Bwahahahaha!  And there you have it Seekers, a "Hillbilly Vasectomy"!

SaS- Stuff What?

Happy Thursday Seekers! Today’s SaS theme over at my sissy's is “Stuff It”! Stuff what? Anything, or so she said! I struggled trying to come up with a recipe for this week. I actually bought some thick-cut pork chops and was going to share my MIL’s Grammy’s secret stuffing recipe. BUT, I’ve had a really rough week and I just never got around to making them. Plus the MIL and I had a. . . . ummmm . . . . . what to call it . . . . . misunderstanding?? over the weekend and I wasn’t about to ask her for help! (Stubborn Scorpio right here folks)!

Plus I went to bed early last night and totally forgot to do my SaS post! Say whaaaaa?? Yes, I did! But I love participating in my sissy’s SaS and try to come up with something every week! So today I’m going to “stuff” a pre-made pie shell! Uh huh uh huh! That counts, right? Well it’s going to have to do for today. Besides, y’all know how I LOVE me some easy dessert recipe’s right? This is another one of my momma’s! It’s so simple. There’s on 3 ingredients! How cool is that?

Momma’s Chocolate Cream Pie

1 Graham Cracker Pie Crust (ready-made)

1 Jumbo size Hershey’s Chocolate Bar (with or without Almonds)
(I prefer this recipe with the almonds)

1 8 oz Cool Whip

First, break up the Hershey’s bar up into pieces. (Reserve 2 pieces). In a microwave safe bowl melt the chocolate bar, slowly, stirring occasionally, until just melted. Add the Cool Whip to the melted chocolate bar. Stir like CRAZY until combined, it should look like chocolate fluff once it’s ready! If all of the chocolate does not get incorporated, do not worry, it’ll leave nice little chocolate surprises in your pie! “Stuff” the Cool Whip/Hershey Bar mixture into your ready-made pie shell. Place one of the reserved Hershey pieces in the center of your pie. Use the other one to make chocolate shavings for decorating the top of your pie!

Simple, easy, and FANFREAKINGTASTIC! People will think you’re a totally Rock Star with this “fake-out” chocolate cream pie! Now, go on over to Brandee’s and find some recipes to make for dinner, since you already have one for dessert!

What I learned at the Krystals

Today (Tuesday) started out like any other day.  I actually made it to work on time!  Technically I'm not really "late" for work, our starting time is anywhere from 6:30 am to 8:00 am.  But, I like to be at work at 7:00 am.  That way I can stay until 4:30, take a 30 min lunch, and make up 1 hour just incase. . . . or get off early on Friday!  Can I get a hell yeah?!

Nothing was out of the ordinary during the day today.  The ride home started just like any other ride home.  Typical!  Until I started down the "real" road, then I heard, thump thump thump thump. . . . right away I knew what it was.  William had already warned me to be careful driving, that I needed new tires, but we had to wait until payday.  (Not to mention I've had like a bazillion flat tires!  Seriously, I hit every pothole, nail, screw, you name it, I've hit it, most of them multiple times)!  GREAT!  Just what I needed!  And guess what, my spare tire, yeah, it's already on my truck!  Double great!

I pulled into the closest parking lot, a hotel, and walked over to the Krystal's.  It was WAY to freaking hot to stand out there in the heat.  I called my husband, and when he finally answered, he said it's going to be a while.  Lovely, just lovely.  Those of you that follow me on Twitter, already got the gist of my afternoon.  But, since my phone was dieing and I was waiting on a call from the tow truck and my husband, I waited to share this story!  Besides, it was too dang good not to blog about!

First off, Krystal's is not the place you're suppose to hang-out in for hours at a time!  Only weirdos spend any length of time in the Krystal's.  Weirdos and people with flat tires.  And NOT my kind of weirdos.  Ironically, the last time I got a flat tire, I ended up at the other Orange Park Krystal's!  (Note to self, stay away from Krystal's if at all possible while driving).

Never use the restrooms at the Krystal's, ever.  ("This isn't the kind of place you want to go to the bathroom in.  There might be dead things Mikey, dead things")!  Sorry, couldn't help myself, I'm just a Goonie!  ONLY weirdos follow you to the restroom.  For all the single ladies, just because he's cute, and has a laptop, means NOTHING!  If he follows you to the restroom, it's creepy.  Creepy I tell you!  Especially if he's already given you the line "you look so familiar, don't I know you from somewhere"?  Seriously dude, did you really think it was okay to follow me to the ladies room?  I wasn't staring at you, I was facing you.  That's all!  No I don't know you and no I don't want you following me, especially to the restroom?  WTF?  THEN the dude tried to sit at my table with me.  Um, not just no, but HELL NO!  I told him I was waiting on my HUSBAND and no, I didn't want him sitting with me, or talking to me for that matter!  Seriously creepy.  Some weirdos just don't get it!  Or maybe I'm just really that cute?  HA!

Question?  Are all fast food managers stuck in an 80's time-warp or something?  Have you ever noticed they all seem to still have that 80's hairstyle?  The wall-o-bangs, big hair, half of it in a scrunchy look?  Or is it just me?  I swear the manager I had as a teenager, working at McDonald's, had the same hair-do!  And that was almost 20 yrs ago!

After spending 3 hours in the Krystal's (with all of the weirdos) watching the employees and reflecting on my own time working at McDonald's, I'm so thankful,  today more than ever, for my life and to have a "good" job.  I know I moan and groan about getting up early and being late.  I complain about work crap all of the time and I count the days until Friday, everysingleweek.  But I really am glad that I have a good job to "hate"!  I know not everyone in this country can say that or feel that way right now.  And more than anything, I'm so glad I'm not single and dating!  I'm thankful to have a husband, who loves me, and I can call to come and rescue me!

Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!

Is that a challenge?

Own it, work it, and love it. . . . myself of course! “Is that a challenge”? (Said in my best Lion King voice)! My sister has challenged all of her “Smackers” to own it, work it, and love it. So I’m stepping up, and telling everyone what I love about myself!

I LOVE that I’m little unbalanced, crazay, weird, OCD, whatever you want to call it! I have my own way of thinking. I know that everyone probably feels this way, or at least I think they should. I don’t really know though, I’m only Buffee, I only know how I feel and how to be me, and I love me.

I fancy myself a Goonie and I LOVE that about myself! I’ve always felt like I was just a Goonie! It’s my all time favorite movie. I’m always quoting the movie, most of the time it’s not even on purpose, it’s just a part of who I am now. It’s Buffee talk. Most people don’t get it. My sisters and my friend Adam are probably the only ones who catch on. I randomly throw out things like “I smell ice cream” “ORV, bullet holes” “Ok, Michael Jackson didn’t come to my house to use the bathroom, but his sister did” “I feel like I’m babysitting, ‘cept I’m not getting paid” “Brand, I’m in here, with my eyes closed” “Pizza. . . pepperoni”! Yes, I know the whole movie.

I love the original Converse (Allstars)! I own a pair in just about every color! I even wore a special pair with my wedding dress. White leather high-tops trimmed in pink.  I almost paid as much for my shoes as I did my dress! I don’t normally wear the high-tops, but it was a special occasion! And I always buy matching laces to go with my shoes, or black ones. I hate the original white laces.

I love crazy socks, toe socks, holiday socks, any type of fun socks! I probably own 100 pairs or more of them. When I started working in “Corporate America” we were required to wear socks or pantyhose. I started collecting socks, bright, bold, crazy, fun socks. Sort of like Detective Seeley Booth in Bones, with his belt buckle! (I love David Boreanaz)!  Yes, I definitely possess the “I’ll show you attitude”! (I like that about myself too)!

I’m not really a girly-girl or a tomboy. I’m somewhere in the middle. I rarely wear make-up, but when I do, I love the way it makes me feel. Typically I’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal. I love love LOVE hoodies. I also occasionally love to get all dolled up and feel beautiful and sexy! I completely own my pain-jane no frills look and attitude! But, when I do get all dressed up and wear makeup, I totally Rock It too!

I love sticking my tongue out at people in the car beside me when I’m driving down the road. Especially when it’s little kids! HA! The look on their faces. . . PRICELESS! If you’ve never done it, try it sometime! It’s a great stress reliever! I also like to flick people off, but where they can’t see it! That way it’s like my own personal little secret. I also enjoying waving and blowing kisses to the people that cuss me out or flick me off.

I love to laugh. I have an infectious laugh. When I laugh, everyone laughs. And everyone knows my laugh. It’s unique and all my own. It’s loud, obnoxious, and distinguishable, and I LOVE IT! Laughter is life’s best medicine. I love the nights when my husband and I just lay in bed and talk and laugh together. There’s nothing else like it in the world!

I love Harry Potter, the books, the movies, anything to do with Harry Potter. I have Potter marathon weekends all of the time. I watch all of the movies. The first one is my all time favorite. “You’re a wizard Harry”! I love that line. I cannot wait to go to Universal for the new Harry Potter theme park section. I can’t believe they waited until the hottest time of the year to open it. It really burns me up! But I can’t wait to go, it’s going to be so much fun!

Speaking of Universal Studios, it’s one of my favorite places in the world. I love theme parks. My husband and I love to go theme parking. We don’t go on “real” vacations. We go on long weekends to Orlando and go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. (Sometimes we go to Disney, but we prefer Universal). We love the roller coasters!

I love FOOTBALL and the Jacksonville Jaguars. I’ve already devoted an entire post on this.

I’m a lip-sync artist! It’s true, I really am. I put on daily shows from my cubical at work! HA! I’m a total Rock Star! I dance and play the drums too! All live, Monday – Friday, at any given time. To the greatest hits on my iPod! I can’t even tell you how many people have walked by my desk and watched my show!

I am a pajama WHORE! I own at least 50 pairs of pj’s. If I’m at home, I’m in them. Period. Shortly after William and I got married, he asked me, do you ever wear anything besides pajamas? HA! I also buy them as presents for all occasions, birthdays, Christmas, mother’s day, father’s day, any excuse to buy someone pj’s. It’s just my thing! I love them!

I love my maiden name, Buffee Best. It’s the coolest name ever! I’ve been teased relentlessly over my name being Buffee. But truth be told, I love my name. I think my mom is awesome for naming me Buffee, even before it was cool or popular! I don’t know that I would have been the same person without it!

I love being Aunt Buffee. I love children, and since I can’t have any, I take great pride in being the world’s coolest aunt! (This one was obvious). I love my nieces and nephews like they were my own.

I love Pinocchio. I know it’s weird, but it’s me. I started collecting Pinocchio snow globes and figurines when I was young. I have a huge collection of anything and everything Pinocchio. I’ve just always loved Pinocchio and I'm totally own it!

I also love to crochet.  I have an amazing talent and I'm so thankful to be blessed with it!  It is one of my greatest loves and gifts.  I love sharing it with the people in my life!

Thanks for the challenge sis!  It was great sitting down and thinking about all the positive things I love about myself.  Not in a conceited arrogant way, but knowing that I have great qualities and that I'm happy with who I am and love myself for me, kind of way!  This was awesome!  I hope your other smackers accept the challenge and own it, work it, love it!

Imma Redheaded Slut..Uh-huh Uh-huh, and I like it!

My FAVORITE drink in the entire world is Coke.  Coca-Cola Classic.  It is my favorite taste on the planet, above all else.  Ice cold, out of a can, poured over ice, in a plastic cup.  (OCD remember).  Sigh.  But we've recently broken up or at least agreed to see less of each other.  I'm officially down to a morning quickie.  If it wasn't for the headaches I would have quit cold turkey.  Why?  Because I was addicted to them.  No, not was, I am addicted to them.  Yes, my name is Buffee and I'm a Cokaholic!  If I was going to share a drink with you, that would be my choice, just a coke, ice cold from a can.  I realize not everyone LOVES Coke like me.  And since my sister is hosting a special edition of her SaS today, I figured I'd share a straw.  I mean what kind of sister do you peeps think I am?  Oh wait, don't answer that!

I've given this a lot of thought.  I don't really have any secret drink recipes or really great mixes.  I'm not a drinker, not really.  I thought about sharing this watermelon punch stuff I saw on Paula Deen.  But I didn't want to post just anything, especially if I haven't tried it.  I also thought about asking the drunk MIL, but she's really just a beer drinker.  I actually had a drink named after me once, called "The Buffee Splash"!  But I couldn't for the life of me tell you what was in it?  So I decided to share my favorite "shot" (from my younger drinking days) with you!  The name was fitting, only because of my red hair!

Red~Headed Slut
1 oz peach schnapps
1 oz Jagermeister
cranberry juice

Shake with ice, strain, and serve ice cold!

If you're not a fan of Jager, go ahead and give this a try.  It's really yummy with the peach schnapps and cranberry juice.  I PROMISE!

Well there you have it Seekers!  Short and sweet this time.  I plan on accepting Brandee's challenge in the very near future to own it, work it, and love myself. . . .  maybe even later today!  Happy Thursday!

Hillbilly PYHO Hump Day (Special Edition)

Happy Hillbilly Hump Day Seekers!  Normally I'd be talking some serious smack about my hillbilly neighbors and sharing all their dirty little secrets.  But not today.  No, today I'm feeling the need to "pour my heart out" and it directly involves the pregnant hillbilly daughter.  So I'm linking up with Shell over at Things I Can't Say for her PYHO.  I'm taking the liberty and calling it Hillbilly PYHO Hump Day!  Please be respectful of my post. . . . . . . it will be very open and honest.

My stepson, Justin, has made friends with the hillbillies.  I'm so not thrilled with the idea of him hanging out with those heathens, but he's 17.  If  I tell him not to or that he can't, it's just going to make him want to do it even more.  And again, he's 17, like he'd listen to me about that anyway.  So I try to encourage him to find other friends and explain why it's probably not a good idea to hang out with them.  Anyway, it does help me get the low down on their personal business, so I can blog about them!  (Yes, I know I'm a terrible person, but if you've read my prior hillbilly posts you'd totally understand)!

First off, for my new readers, I'm 33 and I've never had children (of my own) and I had a hysterectomy last year.  It was devastating, to say the least.  Most days I'm able to put on a happy face and pretend that I'm coping with it just fine.  I wear a mask that says "I'm fine, no need to worry about Buffee anymore".  But truth be told, I'm not fine.  I'm still grieving the loss of my lifelong dream of having a baby, becoming a mother, and raising a family. The day they cut out my uterus, they took a piece of my heart right along with it.  A piece I can never get back.  A piece that took a life time to create, now gone, forever.  I cried everyday for months.  I still cry some days.  Don't get me wrong, I am happy.  But I have a broken heart and I don't know if it will ever completely heal.

The whole process of infertility is difficult, frustrating and heart wrenching.  It's long and lonely.  Yes, I had a partner, my husband, and he was there for me, most of the time.  But my severe endometriosis and  infertility took a huge toll on our marriage.  We went more than a year without having intercourse, because I couldn't.  My periods were lasting 3-4 weeks with only 4-5 days in between each one the year before my hysterectomy.  Even when I was "able" to have "sex" I didn't want to.  It was the very last thing on my mind.  And to make matters worse, intercourse was extremely painful.  I had to be doped up on pain pills just to have intercourse.  William was incredibly patient about the sex and  I tried like hell to do my part to help him out in other ways.  But our marriage was definitely lacking in more ways than one.  When you lose that physical intimacy, you lose an important part of your marriage.

The hysterectomy was a choice.  My choice.  An "elective" surgery, covered by insurance, due to my extensive female health issues.  It was a hard choice.  Probably the hardest one I've ever had to make.  To hold on or let go?  I can honestly say, not a single day goes by that I'm not thankful I had it done.  I'm not in pain anymore.  I'm not bleeding all of the time anymore.  I'm not addicted to pain pills anymore.  My marriage and relationship with my husband have improved beyond words.  And the sex, well let's just say we're definitely making up for lost time!

For the longest time I wondered why me?  Why did this happen to me?  Why can everyone else have children but me?  Why is my body all fucked screwed up?  I still have those moments.  Not everyday.  But days when I see the hillbilly girl buying and smoking pot, it feels like another piece of my heart breaks.  It's like having an old wound ripped back open.  Last night Justin told me that she (the pregnant hillbilly) is smoking pot and drinking, because she doesn't care if she "kills" the baby AND she's planning on having an abortion anyway.  It makes me question everything.  It's such a huge trial of faith.  One I have a really hard time putting into words.  The hillbilly daughter is carryiing a precious little life that I would have given anything to have, and she's doing everything she can to abort it.  (I should mention the fact that I'm 100% pro-choice for everyone else in the world, accept myself).  I'm not judging her, I'm just trying to convey how it hurts my heart.  How it sets me back in my "recovery" process.  Because that's the way I see it.

Today I do my best to live one day at a time.  To enjoy the things I do have and love and accept my life for what it is and not what I dreamed it would be.  (By that I mean having a huge family and lots of children).  I do have a family, one that includes my stepson.  He helps fulfill that maternal need.  And for that I am thankful.  I also have a great relationship with my husband, that continues to get better each and every day.  We have a home, a car, good jobs, and plenty of material things.  I have nieces and nephews I adore.  But there's still a piece of my heart missing, broken.

I don't know if I believe everything happens for a reason anymore.  I think life just happens.  The one thing I can say I've learned through my experience is I'm definitely stronger than I thought.  No matter what it is, I feel like I can handle it now.  It wasn't very long ago I can remember thinking and feeling like I couldn't handle anything else.  If one more thing goes wrong, I think I'm going to lose it.  But I have made it.  Through EVERYTHING life has thrown my way (atleast so far)!

I do have faith, but it's different now.  My outlook on life is different.  When I was going through all of this, one of my best friends told me "maybe happiness isn't some huge elaborate plan, maybe it's something that just happens after we learn to smile"!  Those are words I live by now.

Thanks for letting me pour my heart out!

Happy Tuesday!!

Might be a little bit OCD and Monopoly?

Over the weekend we played Monopoly as a family, (me, William, Justin, and Laura). We played on William’s childhood board game. (Laura’s a hoarder, she never throws anything away). We had so much fun! In the beginning the MIL was kicking our butts! Somehow losing was more fun than winning. I honestly didn’t care about winning. Which isn’t like me at all, I love to win. I’m competitive by nature. But I was playing with my family and having some good ol’ fashion family fun. It wasn’t about winning. It was just a game.

I bought the dark purple properties, Mediterranean Avenue and Baltic Avenue. Yes, I was the “slumlord”! HA! These are my two favorite properties to buy.  I love them!  I always try to buy them.  I was the first to buy houses/hotels, and once Laura went to jail, 8 times in a row, I was doing pretty good! (I think Laura must have set some Monopoly record by going to jail that many times in a row. It was hilarious)! But then William started buying up EVERYTHING, he ended up bankrupting Laura, gained all of her properties and kicked our butts! The best part about playing was comparing everything we were doing in the game to real life. It seemed like so much more than just a game. I had never really thought about how much Monopoly was like real life!

While we were playing, the MIL said to me, I’ve never in my 40 plus years of playing Monopoly seen anyone play like you. She was referring to my money. Everyone else had all their money lined up in nice neat little stacks, but me, well mine was a mess! No random order, not separated into stacks, nothing neat about it, just one big pile of money. HA! So I thought about it, and I realized, I’ve always played like that. And I’ve never known anyone else to have their money in one big messy pile either.

I started to wonder what it meant, or didn’t mean. Did it have any significance at all? Probably not! I’m just a weirdo! But it’s definitely ME! I’m so OCD about some aspects of my life while other things are just total chaos. I do have rituals routines that make me “abnormal” or crazay! (Or so I've been told).  I knew I was “different” from a very early age. When I was a child, my mom would have to cover my hands in Vaseline and socks at night, to help stop the cracking and bleeding (because I washed my hands so much). I started carrying a purse in the 2nd grade, so that I could carry lotion with me at all times. Now I’m OCD about washing my hands and applying lotion. I’ve never been diagnosed with OCD by a professional or anything like that, but the doctor has told me on more than one occasion to stop washing my hands so much!

My husband calls them my “corks” oops, I mean "quirks"! I think at first he thought they were cute. Now? Yeah probably not so much! HA! But he loves me for me, and all of my quirks! He understands that they’re just a part of who I am.  I'm not only a brat, I'm OCD.  (So either William's a Godsend or a glutton for punishment)!  Or perhaps a little bit of both?  Just for the record, he's also an asshole!  He's my asshole, and I love him to pieces!  But an asshole nonetheless!  HA!  We're perfect for each other.  Kind of like balsamic vinegar and strawberries, two things that you wouldn't normally think go together, but some how they just sort of work!

I love to watch that show Obsessed. It makes me feel somewhat “normal”! Not that I in anyway shape or form care about being someone else’s sense of “normal”! Because to me, I am the normal one! The show makes me feel like I’m not a total nutburger or like I’m not really “mentally ill”! Yes, I’m obsessive, and I have issues with compulsion. But I don’t think that they handicap me in such a way that I’m not happy and living a complete life! A lot of things have to be my way, and thankfully, most of the people in my life know that about me and accept it. And for that, I’m thankful!

SaS- Appetizer/Party Pleasers

Happy Thursday Seekers!  Once again, I'm linking up with my big sis for her SaS!  Stop by every Thursday for my very own recipes food making ideas!

Next to desserts, this is probably my favorite week!  I love, love, LOVE finger foods, party foods, appetizers, anything of the sort!  I was actually going to make something and share pictures this week, but I've been so busy blogging everynight!  Last night I was too busy at Supah's toothsoap Twitter party!  Good times!  (If you weren't there, you really missed out)!  I didn't win anything, but I totally picked up Tom Cruise as a follower, the TOM CRUISE!  Yes, he loves me!  I'm a total rock star!

Where was I, oh yeah, party foods!  Today I'm sharing my Cheese Ball.  Yep, that's it, simple, yet satisfying!  You're going to love this one, I PROMISE!  Everyone loves this cheese ball.  I recently threw Brand a baby shower and after slaving over all that food, the one thing everyone kept talking about was the my dang easy cheesy ball.  I'm so not kidding!

Buffee's Easy Cheesy Ball
2 8 oz blocks of cream cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped ham (thinly sliced lunch meat chopped)

Yep, that's it!  Just 3 little ingredients!  I told you, E-A-S-Y!

I'm guessing on the amount of cheese and ham!  I never measure ANYTHING!  I just add it until it looks right to me!  That's my method!

The cream cheese will need to be at room temperature.  In a bowl combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and chopped ham.  I use my hands a hand held mixer to combine.  Roll into a ball and place in the fridge to set up.  I serve this with Ritz crackers or Nut Crisps (Toasted Pecan)!  You can use whatever crackers you like best!

This also makes for great snackage!  Enjoy!  And don't forget to link up with Brand and check out all the other SaS party pleasers!
